You know you are getting old when...

You know you are getting old when you spend New Years Eve at the in-laws with the kids and cousins. We celebrated New Year's Eve at my in-laws with our kids, my sister-in-law, brother-in-law and their children and our Aunt and Uncle. We also finally celebrated our Christmas with them and the kids got so much stuff, they were on toy overload. The kids were all too excited to finally get to open their presents! Of course Daddy and Uncle Tommy (shown below) were all too excited to put together the boys Car Bots (basically they are like transformers only much harder to transform).

You know you are getting old when you fall asleep on the floor before midnight - my father-in-law, bless his heart just could not make it...he fell asleep around 10:30pm, even with all 5 kids running around.

You know you are getting old when your hubby yells from the other room "Happy New Year" and you yell back "I guess we should kiss".

You know you are getting old when you can't remember the last New Year's you went out although you know it was before you had kids...but

You know you are BLESSED when you look around and see what the past year has brought you (we completed our family in 2008 with our sweet girl) and you can't wait for what the New Year has in store.

You know you are old when you are having dinner with old friends and the topic of conversation turns to which dust buster vaccum is better for picking up the food the kids dropped on the floor. We had a wondeful dinner and visit with our friends Jeff, Laurie and their 2 boys and Steve, Christi and 1 of their 2 boys. Have a safe trip home!

Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you have a BLESSED 2009!
